The Education Empowerment Program is a unique resource for the Oakland community. Our goal is not simply to help students pass the General Education Development test, but to expose them to a world of education and personal growth. Students learn that higher education is not only within their reach, but also that the personal strength one gains from such an education is worth more than any certificate.

Students are provided with positive role models and teachers who care about their futures. They learn at their own pace and have the option of attending morning or afternoon class sessions.  Classwork and homework are given on a daily basis. With regular attendance and taking advantage of tutorial help, students are generally able to graduate within 3 to 6 months. Upon passing the exam, each student is celebrated in our graduation ceremony.
